Dear Gerry,

Thank you for bring up a relevant question especially for new users here.

1. Traditionally, it is good to understand why the Chinese use the compass based on TOP (South) and BOTTOM (North).

2. If we look carefully, China is in the Northern Hemi-sphere. Here, majority of the mountain ranges are in the North.

3. If one had visited Beijing, Capital of China, many houses, have their windows and main doors facing South. In addition, the rationale why there are no windows at the North is because of dusty storms of `yellow' dusts that sweeps from the North.

7. I feel that, when we use any resources, we should make sure that we read the resource totally.

For example, if we follow a book's step-by-step guide we should follow what the author recommends thru.

It would not be good to read one book halfway and follow another advice from another site or person as no two methology may be the same.
