Dear Anon,

In my opinion, the key success factors are:

1. Location, Location and Location

The three L's are the most important consideration. For most of forum members - this refers to Shapes and Forms Feng Shui.

2. Next; are the critical and nice to have:

2.1 Flying Star Feng Shui - It would be nice to have - double (something) at the main entrance. For example under current Flying Star period of 1984 to 2003; it is nice to have doube 7's at the main entrance.

2.2 Where possible, under the Eight House, best not to have death or disaster sectors at the main entrance. It can still be. But often, this is already like a broken arm even before one moves into the home.

2.3 Ba Zi

As you had mentioned, if your ba zi element favours South, this is nice to have.

Often, a reasonably good house (after Para 1) has been taken into consideration is good sector at Main entrance and nice to have good sector at the main entrance.

Yes, overall, ba zi, can be considered as more important. But, usually, one can still harmonise a home e.g. the home or the bedroom to the Ba Zi of each family member. Here, our heaven luck should harmonize with our earth luck.

Look at it this way, there is NO RIGHT or WRONG answers.

The logic behind the key success is to try and harmonize our heaven luck with our earth luck.

As mentioned above, we should find out our heaven luck i.e. element and strength and harmonize it with our earth luck.

For earth luck: we should see if our head can be positioned as far as possible facing a favourable direction (if possible). And another dimension of earth luck is the use of e.g. Flying Star Feng Shui to analyse our home. And if any sectors are out of balance, harmonize or balance that sector.

For example, if a sector has bad earth elements such as those that bring Misfortune and sickness, we must try to balance this sector first.

If all these sounds complicated, try to break each process or concept into their own domain.

Try to apply the three-step approach that I had mentioned in countless of my previous forum messages:

Step 1: Find out the purpose of each concept
Step 2: What are it's strengths
Step 3: What are it's weakness.

Warmest Regards,
Cecil
